Facts on Michigan College of Beauty

Independently operated and owned, the Michigan College of Beauty, located in the city of Troy happens to be a Pivot Point member, and is the only school that is in the County of Oakland.

In fact this school was among the the first of the Pivot Point members, and was started by Mr. Armand Dagenais in 1965. Armand was a salon owner and a hairstylist, who happened to dedicate himself to giving top training to people breaking into the beauty field.

Michigan's State Board of Cosmetology is the board that the Michigan College of Beauty is licensed through. Our main building was constructed in the year 1988, and is an 11,000 square foot building that is equipped and designed for manicuring, esthetics, and cosmetology training. There is about 7,000 more square feet of classrooms, about a quarter of a mile away in another building, which was built in the year 2001. The two buildings are both handicap accessible.

The National Accrediting commission of Cosmetology Art & Sciences granted the school accreditation. There is available financial aid for the students that can qualify.

Classes have availability in the evening or day, and on a part time or full time basis.
